Wood resources are scarce and can at the same time be used for many applications ranging from construction, components, pulp and paper, and chemicals to energy. In order to make optimal use of wood from the environmental perspective the project “Ecological use of wood resources in Switzerland”, which is part of the Swiss National Research Program 66 NRP66 aims at identifying strategies for a sustainable management of wood resources in Switzerland.
